Bathing Beauties was an open international competition to design a new beach hut for Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire Coast.

Our design The ‘Tied Hut: Tide Up’, is developed from a folded single plane of material that is wrapped and folded to create a stunning faceted form. Decorative patterns are applied to the outer shell to create unique individual structures, each with their own identity.

The design is practical and easy to maintain. For example, internal shelving and seats fold down when in use, whilst during the winter months the hut can be folded up to protect itself from the elements.
