Our ongoing work with Central Park Primary School in Newham, London has covered a wide number of areas, from branding, to visioning a new entrance to the school, and most recently the development of a new hub for the wider school community.

The new Community Hub has been developed to serve the staff, pupils and parents to ensure high quality delivery of its extended services provision. With the school community expanding as part of the four form entry plans, it is important that there are facilities within the school grounds to support wider teaching activities such as music provision, staff support and parent liaison.

The design provides an exciting new dedicated high quality base for the school’s extended services provision.

The project inhabits the school’s former dining hall, a 1950’s block with beautiful but simple brick detailing and generous internal spaces. The project adds elements that pick up on these qualities to provide versatile spaces to help deliver functions crucial to supporting the school’s diverse community.

Completed in 2016, the building supports the school’s role within the wider community. Core activities supported include breakfast clubs, staff welfare, peripatetic and non-core teaching, and parent and PTA support.
