Our Process

CE+CA’s work is underpinned by a close collaboration between client and contractor. We work across all work stages and levels of detail and have experience working on new homes, house extensions and refurbishments, educational buildings, community facilities, masterplanning and regeneration strategies.

We work with physical models and hand sketching in initial stages to better communicate our ideas and celebrate the craft that goes into making a building.

Our process is guided by the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Work Stages, outlining best practice. Within this we offer a uniquely personable approach in dealing with clients, continuing to better understand your wants and needs as the brief develops throughout the project.

Whilst we are ambitious in our ideas, we are also realistic to individual budgets.

1 – Initial meeting, discussing ambitions

After contacting us, a member of our team will arrange a meeting with you to discuss aspirations for the project and scope of work.

2 – Developing brief, analysing site, concept ideas

We will work with you to produce a Feasibility Report that defines your brief in more detail as well as exploring concept design ideas. This is likely to include elements of research, written information, diagrams and drawings, and will help to identify opportunities and constraints of the project.

3 – Iterative design development

We will work with you to draw up more detailed proposals. This is a back-and-forth process as we gain a better understanding of your wants and needs.
