Amber House – Shortlisted for the RIBA East Midlands Award
We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the RIBA East Midlands Award for our Amber Cottage project in The Peak District National Park. We look forward to the judges’ visit later in the year.
Amber Cottage is built on a tiny site in the centre of a village in the Peak District. There were ruined remains of a small stone storage barn, just partial walls and a lot of rubble. The project is the result of careful negotiation with the client, neighbours, planners, and service providers that has resulted in a cottage that looks as if it has been there for centuries but with a contemporary crisp roof and fenestration.
We look forward to attending the RIBA East Midlands Regional Awards on the 15th of May.
